Global Business Day

2009  represents a critical year for the world economy with the twin challenges of the global economic crisis and the negotiation of an ambitious climate agreement.  The focus of the year is December's annual Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen.

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) are organizing the Global Business Day as a   platform to provide business with a space to interact with high-level negotiators, provide business views on the inter-governmental climate change process, any potential new treaty and what this means for implementation.

The Copenhagen Business Day will take place in Copenhagen on Friday, 11 December at the headquarters of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI). It will be jointly organized by the WBCSD and the ICC in collaboration with DI.
